Content Smartization · For publishers

THE ARTICLE ENDS. THE CONVERSATION DOESN’T.

Give your articles a second life as IntelPops. Content Smartization turns the reporting, images and knowledge you already publish into interactive experiences readers can question, explore and act on. Start with an article URL—not another creative brief, chatbot project or production wizard.

Your content can think, talk back and take action.

Not a replacement for your story. A new way to use it.

The original article remains the source. Its IntelPop becomes an interactive representative: explaining the reporting, helping readers find what matters, hosting a shared conversation and connecting them to publisher-approved next steps. New work becomes more useful. Archive work gets another chance to be discovered.

One article URL · A new content experience

More than a summary. More than a link.

IntellyPop prepares the pieces together, so your team does not have to rebuild every article by hand.

The source stays with it

The article becomes knowledge.

The full captured article is saved as a linked knowledge source, with its source URL and available author/date information. Mench.ai’s persistent knowledge infrastructure keeps that source behind the IntelPop. The short card description is an introduction—not the entire knowledge base.

The presentation is prepared

Text, media and a voice.

AI prepares a title, short description, guide name, role, greeting and AI Materials. Available article images and captions, YouTube links and named PDF links can accompany the Pop.

Ask a question. Get the picture.

Answers people can see.

Through IntellyPop’s illustrated-answer capability, readers can request a visual explanation or step-by-step guide. A how-to story, educational feature or product explainer can do more than repeat its text.

From reading to participation

Conversation with a next step.

Include a shared social room, a route back to the original story and selected actions for contact, registration, subscriptions, donations or applications. You choose the destinations.

The publisher remains the source of authority. Review the captured story and generated draft. Use illustrations to explain ideas—not as substitutes for photographic or documentary evidence. The IntelPop should represent the material you approve, not invent missing reporting.

Start with one story · Repeat across your publication

From published article to working IntelPop.

Open Auto Publisher with your enabled publisher account. Its three tabs—Articles & queue, Publisher defaults and Properties & network—cover the workflow below.

  1. Set up the publication once.

In Publisher defaults, enter your publication name, website, public contact details, preferred language and editorial voice. Choose which actions readers should have, then click Save publisher defaults.

Join conversation is on by default. For your first batch, turn on Stop after AI drafting for my review and approval. These settings are reused for new imports; changing them does not silently rewrite existing Pops.

Which reader actions should I choose?
Send readers to the source story. Each Pop uses its own article URL.
    Join conversation
Give readers and the IntelPop a shared social room around the story.
    Contact, Video call or RSVP
Use the existing IntellyPop interaction flows and their connection/sign-in requirements.
Register, Subscribe, Donate, Apply or Book appointment
Enter the exact destination you want readers to use. These actions open your chosen service; creation alone does not enroll someone, process a donation or complete a booking.

Choose up to eight additional actions. Only enter contact information you intend to be public.

  2. Connect the websites you control.

In Properties & network, enter the exact website name and click Add property. Follow the verification instructions and click Verify property. Verify the sites supplying articles and any sites where you want to receive publisher promotions.

This is a one-time ownership check for each hostname, not a task you repeat for every article. Your website manager can handle the small verification file.

What do I send to my website manager?

Send the exact verification address and token shown for the property. Ask them to publish a plain-text file containing only that token at the displayed address, then return to click Verify property.

The file must be available directly over HTTPS without redirecting. If your articles use both example.com and www.example.com, verify both separately—or consistently use the verified final address.

  3. Paste the stories. Start production.

Return to Articles & queue. Paste one article URL per line, confirm that you are authorized to reuse the articles and media and process the text with AI, then click Create IntelPops.

The system works through the URLs one by one. Each article becomes its own IntelPop. The default batch allows 25 URLs; your account’s configured limits apply.

Start with one accessible article you know well. Once you have checked the result, use batches for a series, an archive selection or the day’s stories.

  4. Review the draft. Keep editorial control.

When review is enabled, select Review draft. Check the title, description, IntelPop name, role, opening greeting and AI Materials—the prepared knowledge notes. Open Full captured article to compare the draft with the source.

Edit what needs attention. Choose Save for review to return later, or Approve & create IntelPop to finish. Without the review stop, the queue proceeds to creation automatically.

  5. Open it. Ask it. Put it to work.

Find the finished result under Your article IntelPops and select Open IntelPop. Ask a factual question, request an illustrated explanation, check the media links and try the actions. Use Edit in My Pops for further changes.

To embed that specific story, copy its IntelPop ID in My Pops & Ads and open the tag generator. Select your presentation and copy the tag for your website or CMS. Share the Pop’s link or QR code anywhere readers should be able to open it.

One story or a rotating selection? A specific-Pop tag always opens that IntelPop. A network widget selects eligible promoted Pops. The next step makes an article available for that rotation.

  6. Turn it into a promotion—without another wizard.

Set the outgoing destinations and promotion duration in Publisher defaults. Then, beside a finished article, click Turn to Ad. It creates a publisher promotion using those settings, with the original article as its click-through destination.

No saved card or campaign charge is required for this promotion path. The default duration is 30 days. Use Update distribution / expiry, Pause promotion or Resume promotion to change what happens next.

The promotion can end. The IntelPop can stay. Expiring or pausing distribution does not delete the article IntelPop or its source knowledge. The Pop must be active and public before it can be promoted.

Your properties · Your partners · Your rules

Build a content network, not another silo.

A regional newspaper can introduce its stories on a sister publication. A conference organizer can share an event Pop with an approved local publisher. You decide where your content may go—and whose content your properties may carry.

Outgoing · Publisher defaults

Where may our articles run?

Choose your organization’s verified properties, selected verified properties, or any registered property that accepts you. Use selected destinations when a promotion belongs on particular partner sites.

Incoming · Properties & network

Whose content may appear here?

For each property, choose Only my organization, My organization + approved partners, or Everyone in the registered network. Enter approved partners’ verified website names and click Save receiving policy.

Both sides must agree. Newspaper A allows a story to appear on Newspaper B. Newspaper B also accepts A’s organization. Only then is the promotion eligible there. Choosing “Everyone” on one side never overrides a restriction on the other.

Choose the space. Copy the tag. Let the stories rotate.

Use Copy tag in Properties & network, or explore the live publisher widget demo for different ad counts, widths, column limits and branding. Give the tag to whoever manages the receiving website. Publisher promotions appear only on registered, verified receiving properties that permit them.

A simple three-card widget example
<script src="https://net.mench.ai/?ads=3&amp;cells=3"></script>

This requests up to three eligible Pops, with up to three columns when space allows. Narrow layouts stack the cards. If fewer eligible Pops are available, fewer appear—rotation does not duplicate them just to fill the row.

The live widget demo also includes Try Sticky Ad, showing one floating Pop. Static widgets can show several Pops; sticky presentation remains one Pop per page.

Start with your own content. New verified properties default to your organization only. Add partners deliberately, and expand to the wider registered network when that suits your publication.

One IntelPop · Everywhere the question happens

The website is only the beginning.

Embed the IntelPop beside an article. Link to it from a newsletter or social post. Put its QR code in a print edition, a conference handout, on event signage or in a video. The reader opens the same interactive story instead of a different experience rebuilt for each channel.

An explainer can keep helping after publication. An event story can keep answering before and after the event. An archive article can become useful again when its subject returns to the news.

OLD CONTENT CAN BECOME NEW INVENTORY.The value is not only another place to show a headline. It is another opportunity to explain, connect and bring a reader back to your publication.
Start with usefulness · Build toward monetization

You do not have to wait for the first advertiser.

Use your own stories to make your properties interactive now. Exchange content with approved partners. Then develop sponsored explainers, event partnerships or paid distribution around a format your audience can already use.

Start now

House content and exchanges.

Promote your publication’s content across its verified sites. Add approved partner organizations without requiring the paid-advertiser setup for each story.

Plan the commercial relationship

Terms you can define.

Record a proposed cost per click (CPC) or per-interaction rate when discussing partnerships. These are proposals, not automatic charges or a completed payment agreement.

Keep the distinction clear: this production and distribution release does not provide promotion spend reporting, automated invoicing, budget consumption or publisher payouts. Paid advertiser campaigns remain a separate path. “No card” for a publisher promotion does not mean content creation or AI usage has no account costs.

A guide you can return to

Keep publishing. Keep the process simple.

Can I leave the page while a batch is running?

The queue is saved. Keep the page open for browser-driven processing, or come back and select Resume queue. Background processing is available only when your administrator has enabled the server worker and you have allowed it for that batch.

Pause browser processing stops the browser after its current stage; it does not cancel a request already accepted or a separately authorized worker.

What happens if a URL fails or an AI request times out?

Check that item’s explanation, correct the source or settings, and use Retry failed stage. Check the saved queue before retrying an uncertain AI request: another model call may incur another charge. Cancelled imports can be resumed.

Will the same URL create duplicates? Will it track later edits?

Submitting the same exact URL under the same account reuses its saved import and Pop. Use clean, consistent article addresses: a different tracking query makes a different URL in this release.

The Pop uses the captured article; it does not automatically refresh when you edit the original webpage. Use the existing Pop editor to review and update its knowledge. Revising publisher defaults applies to new imports, not every existing Pop. Check dates and time-sensitive information before recirculating an archive story.

What if an article has images, PDFs or YouTube videos?

The import can include up to 12 images, eight YouTube entries and four named PDF links. Available captions and notes accompany the media. Supported images can be copied to platform storage; any remote-image fallback is flagged and still depends on its source staying available.

A video link or PDF button does not mean its contents have been read. This importer does not automatically transcribe YouTube, extract linked PDFs, or create an avatar introduction. The captured article is the source knowledge.

Can it use paywalled or dynamically loaded articles?

Start with accessible HTML articles from your verified source sites. The importer does not sign in, bypass a paywall or run a browser to reveal JavaScript-only content. An incomplete or unusable extraction should be corrected before publication, not treated as a complete story.

Use the existing manual Pop and knowledge-upload tools when the URL importer cannot access material you are authorized to provide.

Why is a promotion not appearing on a partner site?

Check that the Pop is active and public, the promotion is active and has not expired, and both properties are verified and enabled. Your outgoing settings must allow the destination, and its receiving policy must accept your organization.

Use Update distribution / expiry to apply the current outgoing settings. The receiving site must have the widget tag installed, and publisher-network distribution must be enabled for the service. Eligible units rotate; a particular promotion is not guaranteed on every page load.

Can our CMS send article URLs straight to this page?

Yes. A CMS button or internal link can open Auto Publisher with the article address already filled in. Your website team can use these patterns with URL-encoded article addresses:

/create/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fnews.example.com%2Farticle

/create/?u1=https%3A%2F%2Fnews.example.com%2Farticle-one&u2=https%3A%2F%2Fnews.example.com%2Farticle-two

These links only prefill the form. A signed-in publisher still confirms permission and starts creation. Use the textarea for larger batches rather than building an excessively long link.

Your archive is not finished. It is ready to answer.

Choose one useful article. Set your defaults, verify its source, and create an IntelPop. Check the result, then expand to the stories and properties where interaction adds value.
